Episode: Apple Records, Apple Publishing...and The Beatles (Fundraising)

It's October 1....Oktoberfest somewhere in the world....and a special hello to my night owls and day trippers. Special show today...packed with music and historical tidbits.

Hear the debut of "NEW TRACKS AT NOON". http://archives.wpkn.org/bookmarks/listen/12091

I'm going to start all my Friday- Radio Base Camp shows with this 30 minute block new tracks from mostly new bands that have been in high rotation.

The focus of this archived show - a special 'fund-raising' show- is Apple Corps and the many bands that were part of both Apple Records as well as Apple Publishing.  We'll also look at a bit of a timeline of the many activities and touch on The Beatles, Derek Taylor and other execs at Apple Corps including Allen Klein. Join me as well as Peter Bochan, with his saffron robes and hare krishna bells (ok, not really), sits in and adds his two shillings on Apple Corp.

Here's the line-up of songs played during the show whether actually id's or in the back ground.

The premium offered is the upcoming release of "Come and Get It"- The Best of Apple Records

  • a little history....RADIO BASE CAMP is a radio show that I started in 2007 on live365.com internet radio.  It became a weekly WPKN  "overnight" show from Sunday into Monday for two years before moving to Friday afternoons  in September 2009 with my part-time co-host, Eric Cocks.  In early 2010,  I decided to focus on my own programming and me and Eric reconfigured our weekly radio show into two seperate and distinct shows: Radio Base Camp with hosted Steve di Costanzo and Connections ...With Eric Cocks.

Radio Base Camp and radio Base Camp-Late Night is hosted by Steve di Costanzo
