A world class composer, musician, conductor and author, David has collaborated with Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Hunter Thompson, Leonard Bernstein, Nina Simone, Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Charles Mingus, Steve Allen, Thelonius Monk, Johnny Depp, Buzzy Linhart, Arthur Miller, Joseph Papp, Lionel Hampton, Dustin Hoffmann, Odetta, Tito Puente, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and many other outstanding artists.
David has composed more than 100 orchestral and chamber works, written many scores for Broadway and film, including the classic films "Splendor In The Grass" and "The Manchurian Candidate", along with the score for "Pull My Daisy", narrated by Jack Kerouac.
On Nov 11, there will be a special birthday celebration, David Amram: The First 80 Years at Symphony Space in NYC.
