DJ Kid Congo Powers took over the WPKN controls for an hour-plus set on the July 4th afternoon. Kid Congo was a founding member of The Gun Club and also performed with the Cramps and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. For the past decade, he has been recording and touring with his group the Pink Monkey Birds.

Kid Congo also takes his DJ talents around the world, and we hope to welcome him back to he WPKN airwaves soon.
