Episode: Extended Connections (Late Late Extended Version Sept 15, 2009)
Well... this was supposed to be Home Bass Radio. However, the guys from Home Bass radio never showed up.
Luckily, Eric Cocks of Connections on WPKN stayed on, only planning to play a couple of songs til they got there, but continuing on from 3am to 6am, right after doing Connections from 11:30 to 3am. Where were these guys?
The improvised show starts off with Baden Powell, moves on to Garbage, Sophie B. Hawkins, Sun Ra, Lenny Bruce, Richard Burmer, Morton Subotnik, early and extreme tape manipulation experiments in 1964 from William S. Burroughs (who taught the technique to Paul McCartney), Beatles in mono, an extended set of new music by Sam Phillips and lots more.
