The premiere of a new WPKN show by Eric Cocks. Explores the connections between songs, songwriters, musicians, producers and people... often in surprising ways. In this premiere episode, we have a series of connections between John Lennon and Timothy Leary on three of John's well known songs. There are further connections to Tommy Smothers, Chuck Berry, Lee Dorsey and others on these songs.
Also in this episode: David Bowie, The Kinks, Sonny Rollins, Lenny Bruce, Bob Dylan, Dr Fiorella Terenzi, Les Paul and Mary Ford, Jim Carroll, Eurythmics, Jerry Lee Lewis, Master Musicians of Joujouka and early electronic music from Jean Cocteau, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen and more.
