Jamaica, the island of reggae celebrates its 56th anniversary as a politically independent nation tomorrow, August 6. Garnett takes you back and plays some of the early festival song winners since its inception in 1966. A great mix of ska, rocksteady, and reggae are played.
Garnett also remembers Irvin "Carrot" Jarrett in songs. Carrot, as he was affectionately called was a percussionist with Third World Reggae Band up to the 1980s died suddenly at his home on July, 31, 2018.
