1) Michelle Chan, Friends of the Earth Vice President of Programs, discuss the IPCC's most recent report forecasting that the planet will reach a critical threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels by as early as 2030, triggering the risk of extreme drought, wildfires, floods and food shortages for millions across the world.

2) Medea Benjamin, founder of Code Pink Women for Peace, and author of the book, "Kingdom of the Unjust: Behind the U.S. - Saudi Connection," examines what we know about the disappearance of Saudi dissident writer Jamal Khashoggi, amid fears that he was murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on orders from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. She'll also discuss the disturbing relationship between successive U.S. governments and the Saudi Kingdom.

3) Frederick Clarkson, Senior Fellow with Political Research Associates talks about his new article titled, "Unreleased Religious Freedom Manifesto Isn’t the Culture War Compromise It Hopes to Be," which cautions that the document being circulated among religious scholars, "slants the meaning of religious freedom, silencing advocates equality and social justice in the name of civility."

4) Mike DeRosa, Green Party candidate for Connecticut Secretary of State, talks about some of the issues he's advocating in this year's election campaign and the difficulty independent political parties encounter in running for office in an electoral system built by and favoring the Republican and Democratic parties.
