This might be my 4th annual event where I look at my favorite new tracks of the year. I listened to thousands of new songs this year (to go along with all the vintage stuff I listen to and feature on Radio Base Camp) across all genres from indie to neo-psych and garage to soul, funk, hip-hop and Afrobeat. In 2011, I played at least 30 episodes of my "New Tracks@Noon" and "Midnight Madness". Roughly 200+ made it onto these segments and of these gems I've polished it down to 41 tracks from 41 bands. These tracks may not be the 'single' release or even the most popular track on the EP, LP etc. But...these tracks moved my brain or my feet or my heart more than the others did. Sit back and enjoy...I give additional details and background notes as I go. Comments are welcome on my Radio Base Camp Facebook page.

We also feature new music by current bands, many of whom are influenced by the 60's (and beyond). - a little history....RADIO BASE CAMP is a radio show that I started in 2007 on live365.com internet radio. It became a weekly WPKN "overnight" show from Sunday into Monday for two years before moving to Friday afternoons in September 2009 with my part-time co-host, Eric Cocks. In early 2010, I decided to focus on my own programming and me and Eric reconfigured our weekly radio show into two seperate and distinct shows: Radio Base Camp with hosted Steve di Costanzo and Connections ...With Eric Cocks.
Radio Base Camp and radio Base Camp-Late Night is hosted by Steve di Costanzo
