Episode: Solidarity with Garnett Ankle

During the month of February, we have many celebrations; it is Black History Month, Black Music Month, and today is Valentine's Day.

Also, during the month of February, three great exponents of reggae music were born. Though they are no longer around physically; they are alive in their music. While alive, these men were so great in their endeavors, the Jamaican government honored them with national awards. The Honorable, Dennis Emmanuel Brown, CD (Commander of The Order of Distinction), was born on February 1; The Honorable William Alexander Anthony Clarke, OD (Order of Distinction), the same Bunny Rugs, lead vocalist of Third World Reggae Band was born on February 6; and The Honorable Robert Nesta Marley, OM (Order of Merit) was also born on February 6.

On this Valentine's Day show, Garnett features the music of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, and Third World Reggae Band with Bunny Rugs on lead vocals in that order for the entire two hours. It is lover's rock after lover's rock. So sit tight with your main squeeze and listen to music to set you in a love mood. If you are without a main squeeze, get up and dance.
