1) Arash Azizzada, a co-founder of the group Afghans for a Better Tomorrow talks about his urgent work demanding the Biden administration to "ensure the safety of the most vulnerable in Afghanistan by increasing refugee caps, keeping the airport in Kabul open, expanding visas, and providing humanitarian aid to support innocent Afghans."

2) David Schultz, Distinguished University Professor of Political Science and Legal Studies at Hamline University talks about his recent article, "Governors Should be Held Criminally Responsible for Ignoring Covid-19," and issues related to GOP politicians nationwide defying public health guidelines for perceived political gain.

3) Jake Johnston, Senior Research Associate with the Center for Economic and Policy Research discusses the current situation in Haiti after the devastating earthquake struck the island on August 14th, further damage caused by tropical storm Grace on August 16th, and the earlier July 7th assassination of President Jovenel Moïse. Jake will review how our nation and listeners can provide meaningful assistance to the Haitian people during this time of crisis.

4) Sauda Baraka, former Chair of the Bridgeport, CT Board of Education, who now serves as chair of the Bridgeport Working Families Party Town Committee -- and Joanne Kennedy, Working Families Party Bridgeport Team Coordinator, discuss the WFP campaign to win seats on the Bridgeport City Council and "bring a new generation of leaders turning the page on the self-dealing, corrupt policies of the current administration."
