1) Gareth Porter, historian, journalist and author discusses his recent article about Afghanistan, "McChrystal Faces Iraq 2006 Moment in Coming Months," and willl also touch on the significance of the Pentagon's announcement about Afghanistan's vast mineral wealth.

2) Center for Constitutional Rights attorney, Maria LaHood, assesses the Supreme Court's refusal to hear a case filed on behalf of Canadian citizen Maher Arar who was detained in the U.S., and then sent against his will to Syria where he was tortured. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are now conducting a criminal investigation into U.S. officials for their role in Mr. Arar's rendition and torture in Syria.

3) Russell Mokhiber editor of the Corporate Crime Reporter looks into the options available to criminally prosecute British Petroleum for their Gulf oil spill and the resulting economic and environmental damage.

4) Matthew Cross, Professor of Political Science at Macomb Community College, in Warren, Michigan talks about the focus and objectives of this year's United States Social Forum in Detroit, the origins of the Social Forum in Brazil -- and how the USSF fits into the work of other Social Forums held around the world.
