1) Lisa Gilbert, Public Citizen’s executive vice president talks about the recent House passage of the "For The People Act," H.R. 1 - provisions of the bill that address GOP voter suppression and expand voter access... as well as the fight ahead for passage in the U.S. Senate.

2) Jonathan Rosenblum the author of "Beyond $15: Immigrant Workers, Faith Activists, and the Revival of the Labor Movement," who works as a community organizer for Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant, talks about his recent article, "Resisting Amazon Is Not Futile," and what's at stake in the current organizing drive of Amazon workers in Bessemer, Alabama, and the opportunities and challenges for the U.S. labor movement in the post-Trump, post-Covid era.

3) Devin Burghart, Executive Director of the Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights, discusses the ongoing threat to U.S. democracy from far right, white supremacist and armed militia groups, and what the nation can do to protect our institutions from extremist violence.

4) Bob Gillis and Joe Gaylin of the group Stop Solitary CT, talk about their effort to pass the PROTECT Act, legislation which would create minimum standards (8 hours out of cell) and restore independent oversight for Connecticut corrections, among other important provisions. The group recently won a major victory with the announced closing of Northern Correctional by the end of this July.
