Taking up the lead guitar position in the Southeastern Ken-tuck-y combo known as Otis, 'Eyes of the Sun' recently released on Cleopatra Records produced by Paul Nelson, is a beautifully sounding and re-sounding two guitar harmony and deep vocals of Boone Frogette. Steeped in Southern Culture and free arrangement, Otis have taken up where predecessors like the Allman Brothers, Kentucky Headhunters, and more recently Blackberry Smoke and the Black Crowes have lead them up to this point. While loading in for a live event this morning on WSPK Kentucky, we get a chance to spend some time with Steve, who gets across what the band is about, and where it will lead them into the future.
