Episode: Del 'in Transition' : the Johnny Winter Rockin' Blues Hour #42 with my co-Host Paul Nelson

Fresh off the road, Paul and I catch up scrollin'  tunes thru Johnny's ipod, while I stump Nelson with a couple of tracks, new and old. In the 90's there was a resurgence of the blues, with Legacy producers Rick Rubin and Don Was putting forth their efforts in finding bands, and polishing them in their studios. One of them, was the Red Devils out of LA, and another was Vintage Trouble...Steel Woods, a new band outta Nashville comes in with a track called 'Changes', track 3 of their latest release, written by the foursome of Iommi, Butler, Ward and Osborne, of all groups...which has me diggin'  for the original as only a true anarchavist will do. Rico Amero Sr. (Paul's vocalist/harmonica player) joins us on a surprise call (that I sanctioned, these are always fun), and John Lamb follows up on the Charlie Karp event at the Levit fr last Sat. Man, the hour goes quick around here.

Playlist : Arlen Roth-Slidell, the Vaughan Brothers-Long Way from Home, SRV-Love me, Darlin' (JW ipod), JW-Back Door Friend, Jeff Beck and the Big Town Playboys-Race with the Devil (JW ipod), Chuck Berry-Back to Memphis (LP), SRV-Empty Arms (JW ipod), Vintage Trouble-Run like a River, Rico Amero Sr, on the phone 834am...,Howlin Wolf-I better go now (JW ipod), Steel Woods-Changes (847am), John Lamb on the phone at 850a, Steel Woods closes us out.....
