The Caribbean nation of Haiti has been through many political and social changes throughout its two hundred and fifteen years as a politically independent nation. The nation has seen political coup d 'etats. In addition to man-made disasters, the nation has experienced a deadly major earthquake in 2010 and a hurricane in 2016 which took the lives of 600 people. Some sources say the death toll resulted from the hurrricane wss close to 1000.
On the show this morning, Garnett speaks with Journalist Angelucci Manegat, a Haitian by birth.
