My guest for this segment of Digging in the Dirt" is my colleague and friend, WPKN's Hazel Kahan, and we will be talking about Deer. We aren't talking about Bambi here. The huge herds of unchecked deer are a major problem in the northeast and especially on the north and south forks of Suffolk County Long Island. What are the issues surrounding the deer population in our communities and what's being done about it. Tick borne diseases, car accidents and the decimation of the indigenous Flora and Fauna are just a few of the problems. Here's is a half hour conversation with one of your concerned Long Island North fork neighbors who's is doing something about it. Hazel Kahan.
