1) Chip Berlet, an investigative journalist, research analyst, scholar and activist who has written about racism and intolerance for over four decades, analyzes the rise of hate crimes since the November 8th election; President-elect Trump's appointment of white nationalist Stephen Bannon as his chief White House strategist, and concern about the normalizing of racist and fascist ideology in mainstream U.S. politics.

2) Steven Rosenfeld covers national political issues for AlterNet, including America's democracy, voting rights, campaigns and elections. Rosenfeld, who is the author of "Count My Vote: A Citizen's Guide to Voting," discusses his recent articles covering progress being made on initiating recounts in key midwestern swing states, the role of Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and the larger questions looming over the legitimacy of the 2016 election results.

3) Lindsay Farrell executive director of the Working Families Party chapter of CT, reviews Connecticut legislative election results re: her party's endorsed candidates, and the WFP legislative agenda in the new year.

4) Robert Jensen, Professor of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and author of the forthcoming book, "The End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men," assesses corporate media's coverage of the 2016 presidential election campaign, and shares his expectations and concerns about the mainstream media's future coverage of the Trump administration when it takes office in January 2017.
