Rolling into the Labor Day w/e with Dorian on the move to Miami, and locally Blues and Views at the Levitt, and the Rythum n Roots Fest at Charlestown, RI., dominates the w/e activities, we remember two amazing players : the Latter was the keyboard player of the Muschle Shoals sound Donnie Fritts having a hand in the Americana/Country Songbook, and a long time Kris Kristofferson band member. Neal was a prolific sideman on guitar, adding lush sounds and contemplative lyrics to his own wealth, but that of Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Gospelbeach, and his own Circles around the Sun starting out as a Grateful Dead transitional band, but the second album stretched his own guitar prowess a little further...Joining us later in the 8am hour are my local heroes Chad Anderson, and Laura Markis, she setting Blues, Views herself for New Belgium, and Chad, well Chad is on his way to Twiddle his camera away again tonight at Stony Creek.
