1) Raed Jarrar, advocacy director with the group Democracy for the Arab World (DAWN) which was founded by Saudi U.S.-based journalist Jamal Khashoggi before his assassination by the Saudi government in 2018. Jarrar will discuss the ongoing U.S.- Israeli war on Iran, the on-again, off again negotiations, the escalating exchange of missile and drone attacks across the region -- and conflicting accounts from each side on whether or not peace talks will resume.
2) Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) President, Dr. Diljeet Singh, will talk about an upcoming gathering of physicians in Washington, D.C. to discuss what's ahead for organizing the national movement supporting Medicare for All legislation that would establish a universal healthcare system for everyone in the U.S., similar to what every other industrialized nation in the world has had for decades.
3) Amanda Shanor, Associate Professor of Legal Studies & Business Ethics at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Yale Law School graduate, discusses her views on opposition to a pending settlement between Yale University and the Trump administration over White House accusations that Yale's School of Medicine is illegally discriminating against white and Asian applicants in favor of Black and Hispanic candidates. The Trump regime is threatening the loss of federal funding, as the Dean of Yale Law School, students, faculty members, and alumuni are working to stop the deal.
4) Marcel Reid, a longtime whistle blower advocate, who was National Director and Chair of DC ACORN, an elected former director on the national board of the Pacifica Radio network, and co-founder and Director of the Annual Whistleblower Summit & Film Festival that will take place this year July 26-July 30 in Washington DC. Marcel will talk about this year's Summit and film festival, as well as the critical importance of whistle blowers for journalism and democracy, as well as the need to protect them from retribution and intimidation to shut them down.
