1) Jeannie Suk Gersen, John H. Watson, Jr., Professor of Law at Harvard Law School discuss her recent New Yorker article, "Trump’s Coup Attempt Isn’t Over," and issues related to Trump's ongoing attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, democratic accountability and the potential for violence among the president's true believers on January 6th.

2) Kenneth Surin, professor emeritus of critical theory at Duke University, talks about the eleventh hour trade deal ratified prior to Britain's exit from the European Union on New Year's Eve, and his observations on Brexit found in his recent article, "The UK’s Brexit Shoddy Deal Surrenders More Than It Receives."

3) Karl Grossman, professor of journalism at State University of New York/College at Old Westbury, and author of the book, "The Wrong Stuff: The Space’s Program’s Nuclear Threat to Our Planet.“ He'll discuss his recent Counterpunch article, "Inviting Nuclear Disaster,” on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's history of extending the operating licenses of nuclear power plants from 40 years to 60 years and then 80 years, and is now considering authorization for these plants to operate for 100 years.

4) Margaret Flowers, a pediatrician, advocate for single payer health care and co-director of the movement news website, Popular Resistance. She'll talk about her late partner Kevin Zeese, a public interest lawyer, organizer and activist for 40 years -- and the Kevin Zeese Emerging Activist Fund, where Popular Resistance will be awarding a grant to an activist or group in mid-January.
