1) Tim Shorrock, a Washington, D.C.-based journalist who spent part of his youth living in South Korea assesses the outcome of the recent summit meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump in Hanoi, Vietnam -- and prospects for future negotiations with the goal of denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.

2) Timothy Karr, Senior Director of Strategy and Communications with the group Free Press discusses, Free Press' recent call for a new "tax on targeted ads to fund civic minded journalism," with a focus on how major social media company's business model has greatly harmed locally owned, independent media outlets.

3) Joe Emersberger, a Canadian based writer who has written extensively on Venezuela for publications including, The Canary, Z Magazine, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting and Venezuela Analysis. He shares his views re: the current political and economic crisis in Venezuela, the Trump administration's interventionist policies and the prospects for a negotiated, peaceful resolution.

4) Ann Pratt, director of organizing with the Connecticut Citizen Action Group discusses upcoming legislative hearings on: preserving and protecting Medicaid coverage; creating a Public Option health care coverage program for small business owners, non-profits and individuals who can't purchase affordable health insurance; and raising the minimum wage from the current $10.10 an hour to $15 phased in over four years.
