Episode: Connections: Dylan, Beatles and longevity plus new and vintage music

Feb 7, 2020 episode of Connections on WPKN with Eric Cocks. New and vintage music, including extended sections on Bob Dylan and The Beatles. It’s spontaneous!

A recent social media conversation got me thinking, yet again, about which artists might still be well known hundreds of years from now. To me, Bob Dylan and The Beatles are two of them. I explore some of their music and a few of the reasons I think they will still be relevant, important and greatly enjoyed well into the future.

The show also includes music by Bo Diddley, The Byrds, David Lindley, Ivan Kral, The Monochrome Set, The Animals, David Bowie, The Mar-Keys, Paul Revere and The Raiders, New Radicals, M, Chubby Checker, ABBA, Frank Val & Linda Loman, Mono, The Marathons and more.

Also new music from Psychedelic Furs, The Haden Triplets, Tame Impala, Flowers of America (a world premiere), Christine & The Queens, Soccer Mommy, Fernando Perdomo, Jorja Chalmers, The Squeaky Chairs, The Trial Balloons, Miscellaneous Thoughts and whatever happened in the moment.

Thanks for tuning in!
