1) John Feffer is director of Foreign Policy In Focus at the Institute for Policy Studies, and author most recently of "Aftershock: A Journey into Eastern Europe’s Broken Dreams." John, an Open Society fellow, a PanTech fellow in Korean Studies at Stanford University, and a Herbert W. Scoville fellow, will discuss his recent article, "The Right is Crazy -- Like a Fox," in which he examines what motivates far-right voters, and how progressive and moderate politicians can craft arguments and policies to win them over.

2) Andrea Senteno, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund's Regional Counsel for its Washington, D.C. office, discusses the Supreme Court’s decision to temporarily block the Biden White House from terminating Title 42, a Trump-era policy at the southern border which has allowed border agents to immediately expel millions of migrants on public health grounds. Now, Biden officials seem to have seized the opportunity to make yet more immigrant groups subject to automatic expulsions.

3) Jo-Marie Burt, Associate Professor of Political Science and Latin American Studies at George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government, discusses her views on the current political crisis in Peru after a majority of Peruvian lawmakers voted in favor of impeaching and arresting Peruvian President Pedro Castillo, following the president's declaration of a state of emergency and announced the dissolution of Congress. Since then, Castillo's supporters have staged militant protests where more than two dozen people have been killed in clashes with police.

4) Chip Gibbons, Policy Director with Defending Rights and Dissent talks about his group's call for U.S. charges against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to be dropped, and the threat posed to press freedom by trying journalists under the Espionage Act. Assange, who is fighting extradition to the US on charges related to the publication of thousands of classified documents in 2010 and 2011, took refuge in Ecuador's embassy in London for seven years to avoid extradition, but was removed from the embassy in 2019 and imprisoned. He now faces a US trial over leaking America's military information.
