2) Steve Ellner, Associate Managing Editor with Latin American Perspectives journal and author of the new book, "Latin America’s Pink Tide: Breakthroughs and Shortcomings," assesses the economic conditions that have led to protests and social unrest in Chile, Ecuador and other Latin American nations, recent election results in Argentina and Uruguay and political/economic analysis re: Latin America's progressive social movements.

3) Reese Erlich, award winning journalist and author of many books, including, "Inside Syria: The Backstory of Their Civil War and What the World Can Expect," and "The Iran Agenda Today," discusses Donald Trump's actions clearing the way for Turkey's attack against the Kurds in northern Syria, the "cease fire" brokered by VP Pence, the recent killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid conducted by the US military in northwest Syria, and what the future may hold for the Kurds, Syria and Turkey.

4) Chip Gibbons, Policy and Legislative Counsel with the group Defending Rights and Dissent, talks about his new report, "Still Spying on Dissent," and recommendations for increased Congressional oversight as well as more vigilance and a demand for answers from groups targeted by government surveillance.
