1) Victor Pickard, Professor of Media Policy and Political Economy, and Co-Director at the Media, Inequality & Change Center at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School for Communication. Professor Pickard, author of "Democracy without Journalism: Confronting the Misinformation Society," and "America's Battle for Media Democracy," discusses the revelations and evidence re: Fox News' on-air lies in the Dominion lawsuit, and the consequences for a media outlet that regularly weaponizes extremist propaganda that provokes political violence.
2) Sarah Rawlins, Program Associate with the Center for Economic and Policy Research talks about the issues covered in her recent article, "Unfair Cap Means Millionaires Stop Contributing to Social Security on February 28, 2023," and activists who are working to subject all income, including unearned income, over $250,000 to the Social Security payroll tax, a policy known as "Scrap The Cap."
3) Sharon Chekijian, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director, Patient Experience and Emergency Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, and a faculty member in the Section of Global Health and International Emergency Medicine. Dr. Chekijian talks about Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the humanitarian crisis this has triggered in Nagorno-Karabakh among the region's ethnic Armenians, and efforts being made to negotiate a return to normal corridor access under a November 9th, 2020 agreement.
4) Shelly Altman of the group Jewish Voices for Peace, discusses the policies of Israel's extremist government, escalating Israeli military & settler attacks on Palestinians, Prime Minister Netanyahu's efforts to weaken Israel's judiciary, Biden adm. policy toward Israel, and AIPAC, and other U.S. Israel lobbyists' response to the deteriorating situation.
