Episode: Counterpoint host Scott Harris discusses new information in the assassination Malcolm X; A vision for a Palestinian-Israel confederated state; Julian Assange battles to stop UK extradition to US; Biden considers embracing Trump immigration policies

Counterpoint, hosted by Scott Harris, is heard every Monday night on WPKN 89.5 FM, Bridgeport, CT between 8:00 – 9:30 pm ET. Webstreaming and audio archive at http://wpkn.org

1) Theodore Hamm, Associate Professor and Chair of Journalism and New Media Studies at St. Joseph's University discusses his Dec. 2023 Indypendent article, "Who Killed Malcom X? New Lawsuit Points to Untapped Sources of Information," and recent developments in the case.

2) Andy Bichlbaum, a founding member of "The Yes Men," a culture jamming activist group, talks about his recent Waging Nonviolence article, "A galvanizing vision for Palestine-Israel could help stop the war in Gaza," exploring "A Land for All" proposal for the future, which offers an imaginative, reality-based vision Palestinians and Israelis support.

3) Kevin Gosztola, publisher of the Dissenter Newsletter at Substack, who also hosts "The Dissenter Weekly" show, and produces and co-hosts the weekly podcast, Unauthorized Disclosure. He'll discuss the latest developments in WikiLeaks' founder Julian Assange's battle to stop his extradition to the U.S. where he faces charges under the 1917 Espionage Act that carries a sentence of up to 175 years in prison. He'll review the recent two-day hearing in Britain's High Court that will determine whether Assange has exhausted his right to appeal within the U.K.

4) Yanira Arias, National Campaign Manager with Alianza Americas, discusses her group's concern that the Biden-Harris Administration is considering issuing an executive order that could prevent asylum seekers from entering the country through the U.S. Southern border, a position long advocated by Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
