Episode: Counterpoint host Scott Harris discusses public health preparedness and the Coronavirus; the Trump regime's new "Denaturalization" section at the DOJ; Progressives vs. moderates in Democratic primary & Post-Trump impeachment call to action

Counterpoint, hosted by Scott Harris, is heard every Monday night on WPKN 89.5 FM, Bridgeport, CT between 8:00 - 10:00 pm ET. Webstreaming and audio archive at http://wpkn.org

1) Hanna Ehrlich, a PhD candidate in epidemiology at Yale University's School of Public Health, discusses her recent Jacobin magazine article, "Here’s How We Can Stop the Next Coronavirus," that advocates for building a public health system that rejects philanthrocapitalism and prioritizes preparedness over corporate profits.

2) People For the American Way's Political Director, Lizet Ocampo, will examine the Trump regime's creation of a "Denaturalization" Section within the U.S. Justice Department, designed to strip naturalized citizens of their legal status.

3) Robert Borosage, Co-Director of the Campaign for America’s Future, who formerly led the Institute for Policy Studies for nearly a decade and served as issues director for the Jesse Jackson 1988 presidential campaign. Robert will discuss his recent Nation magazine article, "What we Already Owe to Bernie Sanders," and other topics related to the 2020 Democratic presidential primary campaign and the important issues confronting America's growing progressive movement in the 2020 election.

4) Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call For Moral Revival, delivers a powerful speech, "The impeachment Cover-Up Demands a Call to Action," at an emergency convening of the Congressional Black Caucus on February 4th, the eve of President Trump's State of the Union address, and one day before the Republican controlled Senate acquitted Donald Trump of impeachment charges.
