1) Activist and author Jeff Cohen, was the founding director of the Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca College, founder of the media watch group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, (FAIR,) and co-founder of RootsAction.org. Jeff talks about Roots Action's 'Step Aside Joe' campaign that believes there are legitimate concerns about the risks involved in Joe Biden running for a 2nd term in 2024, and advocate for a Democratic nominee who is progressive and dynamic – and can be a strong candidate against the Republican nominee.
2) Linda Pentz Gunter, Curator and Editor with the group Beyond Nuclear, discusses her recent article, "Red Alert at Zaporizhzhia? Scenarios That Wouldn’t Unfold at a Wind Farm," and other issues related to the safety of nuclear power during wartime and in routine civilian use.
3) Jamie Henn, a climate activist, strategist and director of Fossil Free Media, a nonprofit communications lab, discuss his recent article, "This Killer Heat Is Brought to You by Big Oil: It’s Time for Fossil Fuel Giants to Pay Up," and the calls by a growing number of climate activist groups for Joe Biden to declare a climate emergency.
4) Bruce Barrett, founder of I Wage Peace and president, Barrett Outdoor Communications talks about his group's 'Interfaith Service Day' in New Haven, CT on Sunday, August 6th, that brings a diversity of people from religious, non-religious and spiritual groups together in fellowship and service to others. Service project volunteers will work side by side with others from different traditions in support of worthy community service projects.
